Congratulations Class of 2017!

Yesterday, was the seniors' last day of school. To celebrate their graduation, they walked the halls through all the elementary schools while the kids high-fived and cheered them on. I think the seniors enjoyed their "celebrity status" with the kids.

Field Day

We had a chilly, but fun day at Field Day last week! Thank you to everyone who came out to volunteer or cheer on the kids. A BIG thank you to Mrs. Zemaitis for organizing yet another successful Field Day. Here are a few pictures...enjoy!

Engineering Exploration - Preventing Landslides

We completed our last lesson and experiment for the Earth's Surface unit in science. Today, we did an engineering exploration where the students created barriers to a prevent landslide from reaching their road. They worked well in teams and had fun designing their barriers.

Reading Assembly

Today we had a reading assembly to wrap up our fun "March is Reading Month." Our presenter was a Michigan author Russel Slater and he read two of his books: I'm A Michigander and Eddy Elk and Mandy Moose. At the end of the assembly, the top two readers from every class were announced. We had many hours of reading in our classroom and I'm so proud of the participation from our class. Our top two readers were Klara and Colton. Way to go!
