Our district has began a chapter in the "be nice" initiative. The
n.i.c.e. model focuses on
notice,
invite,
challenge, and
empower. We will be learning about these characteristics throughout the year and incorporating the n.i.c.e. model in our schools. If you would like to learn more about "be nice." check out the website at www.benice.org.
Today, we had our first "be nice." lesson. We talked about what it means to be nice to someone and brainstormed a list of nice comments to say to others. Then we played a game with a ball where we threw the ball to each other after saying a nice comment to that person. Mr. DeRidder even joined in on the fun.
