Inter-Generational Reading Buddies

Today, we had some reading buddies from Fountain View Nursing Home visit. The kids really enjoyed reading with the residents and making new friends. We will continue our inter-generational reading partnership with Fountain View once a month for the rest of the year.

Halloween Party

We had a great time at the Halloween Party today. Thank you parents for your donations and help with the games and activities. Enjoy some pictures I snapped at the party.

Post Family Farms

It's always a good time at Post Family Farms! The kids enjoyed their hayride, picking out pumpkins, swinging on ropes, learning about the life cycle of a pumpkin, feeding the goats, and of course eating delicious donuts.

Homecoming

Mrs. Mast shared these cute pictures from Homecoming last week. It looks like our class is great at showing GREEN and WHITE spirit. Enjoy!

Engineering Exploration

This week's science exploration asked us to put on our engineering hats to solve a problem. We needed to work with our team to build a bridge deck that was made of materials that had properties that would make our bridges both strong and waterproof. We wanted our bridges to be able to hold the weight of six blocks and to not be able to absorb water that is sprayed on the bridge. We didn't want our bridges to be able to absorb water because that would then weaken the structure. We were able to choose from materials such as cloth, wax paper, cardboard and modeling clay to build our bridges. We love science in our class!
